Re: Valerie Diane Emanuel aka Valerie Pelkey

Dear Sir/Madam:

This letter is a request for an investigation into the postal activities of one of your employees, Valerie Diane Emanuel aka Valerie Pelkey for possible mail tampering during the course of her employment related to mail addressed to my client the Church of Scientology International.

In 1998 the local Orlando Church of Scientology sent a package containing two reel-to-reel educational and training films to another Church within the United States. This package was sent through the very post office in which Mrs. Emanuel is employed. Only one of these films arrived at its destination while the other one disappeared. It was never recovered.

This was brought to my attention based upon an Internet web site that Mrs. Emanuel maintains in which she has stated:

"I work with magazine bundles at my job with the Post Office. If anyone found any Scientology mail, they showed it to me." (See TAB A.)

Footnote: Mrs. Emanuel also includes a 'long & kind of confusing...'description of her self-professed obsession for Tom Cruise who is a well known member of the Scientology religion.

Pg 2

Mrs. Emanuel has been engaged in a hate campaign against the Church of Scientology since about 1997 in a number of derogatory Internet postings against the Church and she maintains a web page through which she expresses her hatred and prejudice towards the Scientology religion and parishioners of Scientology.

Due to the above we believe there exists a strong possibility that Mrs. Emanuel may be engaged in illegal conduct while using her position within the United States Post Office and believe an investigation is called for.

In addition to the above information I have also attached some messages that Mrs. Emanuel posted on the newsgroup alt.snail-mail for your information. (See Tab B)

Very truly yours,

Elliot Abelson

I didn't scan the 'Tom Cruise' exhibit--it's an old page from my website. (The only reason they included it was to tell my employer that I'm bipolar. You can read about it here.) They printed it out in November 2001, which I found amusing--isn't Abelson claiming I 'just came to his attention'?

I think Mr. Abelson's secretary is a graduate of an LRH school, and mastered in the run-on sentence. BTW, 'towards' is not a word.

You can pick apart the letter above, and we can have fun with all the holes in Mr. Abelson's logic--such as, what does working with magazine bundles have to do with parcels?

And as for 'very truly yours', he wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit him on the gluteus maximus.

Re: Valerie Diane Emanuel aka Valerie Pelkey

Dear Mr. Moffitt:

In our telephone conversation last week regarding the above matter, you requested any additional information I may have to assist you with your investigation.

First, the package referred to in my March 5, 2002 complaint contained a reel-to-reel educational film. These films are for Church internal use only, to be shown for Ministers in training. The film that is the subject of this complaint was originally shipped from the Church of Scientology of Orlando to the Church of Scientology of New York, Continental Liaison Office of the Eastern United States. At that time, it was assumed that the film got lost so no further investigation was undertaken until we learned of the information contained in Ms. Emanuel's web site.

Second, I have enclosed several Internet postimgs that Ms. Emanuel's has placed on the Internet which I believe may be helpful to you in your investigation. Under Tab A is a posting she made just last week on March 31, 2002 wherein she references her displeasure that Narconon, a drug rehabilitation organization which relies upon certain teachings of L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of the Scientology religion in helping others, had allegedly been at one of "her" grocery stores. While her hatred is evident, she references her postal employment as follows:

Pg 2

"They've been hitting a bunch of the groceries around the Orlando area--I've seen postcards go thru the post office where I work--just never caught them so close.

Damn, I was pissed!"

Under Tab B are more postings of her attempts to spread her hate at "her" grocery stores.

Under Tab C is a posting she made where she admits she goes into book stores and places anti-Scientology flyers in books. Thus, I believe this shows she has no thought or conscience as to tampering with property that is not her own.

Lastly, under Tab D are postings we found that further evidence her hate state of mind. They are disturbing to me and my client, to say the least.

I hope these are helpful to you. If I can be of any further assistance to you whatsoever, please let me know.

Very truly yours,

Elliot J. Abelson

Tab B was printed out for Abelson by none other than my old buddy Ava Paquette, according to the sig line on the bottom. It was sent to her by ers@scientology.net on 4/2/2002, and included answers from both Feisty and Starshadow.

I am totally gratified to have upset the cult that much by showing up at their little NarCONon fundraiser.

On Tab C--Note the date. August 19, 1999. And even then I was visiting my book inserts. And this is apparently the most evil thing I've done in the last three years? Wow, I am bad.

On Tab D--Anyone with ten minutes experience on a newsgroup can see thru this one. Some moron named "DW' was posting racist garbage on a number of ng's, ars being just one of them, and a fool named Valerie made the mistake of replying. Now, does the lawyer realize this, or is he really so dumb that he thinks 'Valerie' wrote 'I HATE JEWS' ?

This is why they say 'Don't feed the Trolls.'

Also included in the exhibits were some postings I'd made on the alt.snail-mail newsgroup, where I complained about my boss and the Postal Service in general. You see, they can't understand that people are actually allowed to complain, especially on the Internet. Because you're not allowed to do that in Scientology. So they just naturally thought I would get into trouble for saying it was sometimes really tough to work for the good ol' United States Postal Service....but, you know what?
