Green] (only a portion of report--a more complete report may be found at http://www.xenu-city.net/cpdslaughterbeck.html ) Later writer spoke to a subject Kim Bright Cassano, w/f, dob 11/26/54, who advised that she was a friend of the subject, Alan Green. Cassano stated that on this date sometime between the hours of 2025 and 2030 hrs., she received a call from one of the paramedics who stated that Mr. Green wanted her to come over because there was an emergency at the residence, and that he wanted to tell her in person. He then came to the telephone and said "Carrie's dead". She then asked him "do you want me to come over", he advised "yes". She told him that she'd be right over. I then asked Cassano how long has she known the couple. She said approximately a year, and that both Alan and Carrie did odd jobs for her. When asked what type jobs, she stated that Alan and her were working on writing a book and that Alan and Carrie worked from their home gathering information from the Internet. When asked what was the name of the business, she said "Kim Incorporated". She gave an address of 639 Cleveland Street, work phone number being xxx-xxxx. I then asked her when was the last time she saw Carrie, she stated approximately two weeks ago when she picked up her paycheck. Then I asked her whether or not Alan said anything about going to Orlando. She stated yes, she stated that on 3/26/97 at approximately 1600 hrs., Alan was supposed to meet with a white female named Lorraine at her residence for a meeting. Said meeting was supposed to take place from approximately 1600 to 1800 hrs. this date at Lorraine's residence. From there he and Lorraine were to go to another meeting from 1800 hrs. to 1900 hrs. and meet with a subject named Jim Pearson, a subject whom the book was to be written about. I then asked her whether or not she knew what type of car they owned, she stated a white car. She also stated Alan made mention that Carrie's car had broken down somewhere on I-4 and that he called Lorraine to pick him up. Cassano stated that her address was xx xxxx xxxxx xxxxx in Safety Harbor, phone #xxx-xxxx, and that she was the owner of the 639 Cleveland Street along with her husband. Later writer and the other investigative detectives, along with patrol officers did a canvas of the neighborhood. Writer then went to apartment 101 but made no contact with subjects living there. I then went to apartment #102 where I made contact with a white male, xxxxxxxxx, dob xxxxxxx, who gave the address of living on xxxxxxxx in xxxxx, phone #xxx/xxx-xxxx. xxxxxxx stated that on this date at approximately 0700 hrs. he took his uncle to an eye clinic. He stated that they returned around 0900 hrs. He stayed home for a few minutes. At approximately 1200 hrs. he was out in the garage area working on his Volvo at which time he heard loud noise, stepped outside and saw a large white passenger van backing up towards room #104. By the time he came out of the garage, subjects in the van took off. He stated at this point he noticed that the van was a large passenger-type van that appeared to have a logo on the side with the word "Clearwater" and other unknown words with 8' letters that spanned about four to five inches in width. He stated that he observed a passenger, a white male that had on a beige baseball cap turned backwards, but did not see the driver. Writer advised Det. Calloway of same, noting that the subject did not know exactly what the loud noise wars, but that it sounded as if the van had hit something or that a door could have slammed shut. xxxxxxx advised that the residence that he was staying in belonged to his uncle, xxxxxxxxxxx and that he would he in Clearwater approximately two weeks if we needed any other information. |
