In the final analysis, the remarkable claims for bluegreen algae have absolutely no scientific basis. It is simply another snake oil product which is successfully evading FDA regulations and enjoying the recent popularity of so-called health foods. As a nutritional supplement, however, there is nothing in bluegreen algae which is not available in other foods at a much lower cost. Based on the evidence, blue-green algae is not safe or effective for anyone.
