Right Im not a scientologist or anything but I read your storys especially the one about quintain Hubbard and I thought you were wrong to say scientology killed him. He may have been depressed because of pressure from his father, but if his father had been catholic and put pressure on him to be a priest the same could have happened.
I also think the home page of Quintain Hubbard was stupid, he didn't write it. who are you to decide what he thought and felt about things that were happening and even try to put it in his own words. I think you are selfish and ignorant, you have a problem with scientology itself , I don't believe you actually care about the people who lost thier lives.
People in every religion die, why don't you use real facts instead of taking people misfortunate lives and start balming thier beliefs

Thankyou for returning my e-mail. You see Im 15 and I was thinking about
becoming a scientologist after hearing John Travolta talking about it on
television. I went on your site to find out more about it, because I wanted
to make sure it wasn't a cult aand there was nothing strange about it. I
guess I was shocked by the way you displayed your page, and the harsh wa you
put everything.
I admit I did not read Lisa McPhersons story and maybe I should.
My own mother worries about me becoming a scientologist because of stories
she has read about children dying, mainly because they wouldn't allow
operations and believed in 'thinking yourself better' My mum is catholic and
has brought me up in the same way, but I thought that many catholics don't
follow all the rules e.g sex before marriage but it doesn't make them an
less catholic, and I could still allow operations and be a scientologist.
I do have a lot more to learn about the religion before I convert, but
amongst the horror stories there are also alot of happy ones.

I decided I should go to one of the churches and see for myself what they
are about. There is one near me in Manchester (England)
Is scientology really a cult, cos in R.E we learned that it used to be a
cult but now it is so widespread it is a way of life.
And what about all the good stuff like no drinking, smoking drugs etc etc

Ok I think you convinced me. I thought scientology was about self spirit and
empowering yourself and all that. Sure I want the fast car, the parties
leaving home and all that but I just figured it would be good to be a part f a belief, my own belief instead of following my mum and dad.
I think what really changed my mind is the alien thing...and what is this
about a prison camp.
I want to thank you both, although I like to make my own mind up about
things, its nice to get advice from two people who don't even know me.
Thank you
P.S R.E is religious education
